CCF WA and the Resolution Institute present
INDUSTRY WORKSHOP: Security Of Payment Act
Tuesday, March 12, 2024 | CTF Construction Futures Centre
The new Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act has reformed WA’s rapid adjudication process; helping contractors, subcontractors and suppliers get paid on time, and enabling fast resolution of disputes.
In this free interactive workshop, The Resolution Institute’s experts will outline your rights and obligations under the new Security of Payment legislation, highlight some recent examples showing how it has worked in practice, and explain what you can do to avoid costly and time-consuming disputes.
The focus will be on interactivity and participation, with ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
The workshop will be led by the Resolution Institute’s Scott Ellis and John Fisher and moderated by Mike Murrey, all of whom have extensive experience of construction disputes and adjudication under the old and new acts.
CCF WA and the Resolution Institute thank the Construction Training Fund (CTF) for providing the venue. Following the workshop, attendees can network while viewing the CTF’s newly-upgraded Construction Futures Centre, which features interesting and interactive displays highlighting the many career pathways available in construction.
